Do you want to find out about Class C?
Class C's teacher is Mrs Coates but we are also lucky enough to have Mrs Scott to help us with our work. There are 28 children in Class C, 15 boys and 13 girls. Class C is a mixed class of Year 1 and 2 children so our youngest child is 5 years old and our oldest child is 7 years old.
Every morning in Class C we practice our reading and handwriting. As we are doing this everyday we are getting better and better!! As Mrs Coates says, 'Practice makes Perfect!'
Each week we try to stick to a routine. On Monday mornings we write about our weekend in our 'News book' and on a Monday afternoon we have P.E. On a Tuesday we have Music with Mr Parkin. We sing lots of fun songs and add actions to them too! We also have P.E on a Wednesday afternoon and on Thursdays we have ICT using the laptops! On Fridays we have Science, which is great fun. We especially like it when we do AT1 investigations as two dog puppets (Discovery Dog and Naughty Nora) come to visit!
Every afternoon we have Phonics and we split into three small groups for this. As we are practising our sounds every day we are getting fab at spelling and reading! On a Friday we have a short spelling test and get a sticker or house point if we get them all right!
Our favourite part of the week is on a Friday afternoon when we have 'Creative time'. Mrs Coates and Mrs Scott put out lots of fun activities like cut and stick, plasticene, painting, construction and many more!! We just LOVE it!
