Our new extension!

Finally our extension is complete and in full use. Mrs Wails and Mrs Robertson have a wonderful new office, very light and airy with lots of space. We have a new entrance which allows us to see people before they enter school and a special visual intercom to the door in the yard.
Our Heroes Annex is already in full use by school staff with assemblies, dance, drama and group work. Community groups such as Live at Home and the DLI have made use of it and we have celebrated Mrs Harrison's retirement in there as well.
Everyone agrees that the annex has been well worth waiting for!

Extension Opening Ceremony

Our official opening will take place on Wednesday March 11th at 10.30 am. We welcome the Deputy Mayor Councillor Joe Mitchinson along with the children who will release a balloon to mark the official opening of the 'Heroes Annex'. Our Chinese Dragon will lead the way into school where friends, Parents and Carers are invited to join us for refreshments.

We look forward to seeing you.

School Extension News

The Extension

We are getting there!!

We are keeping fingers and everything else crossed that the office move will be next Friday lunchtime. I am not sure if you will access the office via the new entrance or through school. I suspect the cars will still be in the playground. It all depends on when the car parking area in front of school is completed. I will keep you updated with progress on a daily basis.

We need to have an official name for the extension for the opening ceremony carried out by our Mayor. It has been suggested we link this to the High Spen Heroes - The Heroes Annex. If you have any suggestions please forward to school.
The official opening is Wednesday March 11th 2009.
