From 1st July, any customer shopping in Rowlands Gill or Whickham Tesco Express will be able to vote for our project.

The project came from our School Council - they wanted to do something to improve their immediate and their local environment.

If your vote helps us secure the funding, it will be used for equipment to carry out a WHOLE SCHOOL Village Litter Pick. This will take place over a week in the Autumn Term and will see the village split in to zones for children and families to get picking.

Should we win first prize, there will also be enough funding to may the improvements to our 'stick area' - (better name to follow!) this is the area our Y5 children have been working to improve with water play, mud kitchens, musical pans (!) and giant marble runs.

So, if you do shop in Tesco Express, or know someone who does - please ask them to look out for the chance to vote for us through July, August and September. Every vote counts!
