We welcomed a visiting speaker from UK Parliament who gave us a great walk through of all things democracy.

One of the jobs the children had to do was to agree the qualities they would wish an MP to have. We were blown away with their answers:-

• be kind

• be a good leader

• be calm under pressure

• be able to see things from other points of view (this was from a Y3 pupil!)

Our visitor left with a fabulous feel for the manners, listening and deeper thinking of our Team Spen Children.
