Hello! We are Class TY and we are Year 1.

We are named after a local war hero from the First World War called Thomas Young. Thomas was awarded the Victoria Cross, one of the highest honours a British soldier can receive. He received this honour for showing great bravery during the war.

In Class TY, we want to be brave and show resilience, just like Thomas did. We are brave, kind, caring and helpful. We try our best to work hard, have fun and look after our friends.

Our class teachers this year are Mrs Halliday and Mrs Kelly, supported by Mrs Whale.
