Mrs Kerridge retiring

Now as I've said many times, as Head Teacher at High Spen Primary, I have the best job in the world... but, aww man, this is a post which has taken some sharing.
After nearly 38 yrs of dedicated service to the children and families of High Spen Primary, the utterly incredible, utterly bonkers and utterly irreplaceable Mrs Kerridge will be retiring this summer.
Many of the friends and families reading this will have had the blessing of being a child in Dawn's care. Anyone who has had the good fortune to have their child's time in Nursery sprinkled with the magic dust that she scatters so naturally, will appreciate what a huge miss Mrs Kerridge will be.
In her 38 years service, Dawn will have supported thousands of children, parents, carers and staff - not to mention at least one fresh-faced HT! In supporting us, Dawn has never made it feel like it was about her, just quietly and lovingly, steering whoever was lucky enough to be in her company - to be the best version of themselves. An utterly awesome individual!
SO, the last thing Mrs Kerridge is looking for is doom and gloom and folk sniffing into hankies: instead, lets celebrate the ways in which she has touched the lives of so many Spenners, share your stories, celebrate the special moments and be grateful for the richness she has brought our school.
Thanks for now,
Mr F
P.S. I do hope the FB link still works - it has some Classic Kerridge from about 40secs in!
